Roseville News Fax April 26, 2006 <br />Roseville Team Tennis Leagues <br />Tennis players, have fun and challenge yourself in an Adult Tennis League. Men, women <br />and Co -Rec leagues for singles and doubles are forming. Whatever your skills, you'll <br />find a place to play in the league. Matches arranged based on your skill level. <br />Men's League will play on Wednesdays beginning May 10 through July 26 from 6:00 to <br />8:00 p.m. at Roseville Area Middle School, 15 East County Road B-2, Little Canada. <br />Cost is $44. <br />Women's League will play on Tuesdays beginning May 16 through July 25 from 6:00 to <br />7:30 p.m. at Roseville Area Middle School. Cost is $38. <br />The Co -Rec League will play on Wednesdays beginning June 21 through July 26 from <br />6:00 to 7:30 p.m. The Co -Rec league is a USTA sanctioned league and players travel to <br />other cities for matches. Cost is $49 and includes USTA membership. Call 651- 792 -7110 <br />to register for any of the tennis leagues. <br />Walkable Communities <br />What does it mean to live in a "Walkable Community?" Join your neighbors to find out. <br />Ramsey County is participating in an Active Living campaign, a national effort to create and <br />promote environments that make it safe and convenient for people to be more physically <br />active and more physically fit. They are holding eight Walkable Community Workshops <br />throughout the County to discuss ways to make communities more pedestrian and biker <br />friendly. <br />The City of Roseville will host one of those meetings on Monday, May 8, from 1:00 to 5:00 <br />p.m. at Harriet Alexander Nature Center, 2520 North Dale St., Roseville. Whether you are a <br />senior citizen, teenager, biker, skater or pushing your baby in a stroller, they want your input <br />on what would make your neighborhood a walkable community. <br />Mr. Mark Plotz and Dr. Bob Chauncey from the National Center for Bicycling and Walking <br />will facilitate the Walkable Communities.
