Hanson <br />www.M.little-canada.mn.us <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Mayor Blesener and Members of the City Council <br />FROM: Kathy Glanzer, City Clerk <br />DATE: June 7, 2006 <br />RE: Dog License Fee <br />City staff recently compared the City's dog license fee with that being charged by <br />surrounding cities (see below). <br />Arden Hills $25/2 Years <br />Lauderdale $10/1 Year <br />Mounds View $7/2 Years if spayed or neutered, otherwise $13/2 Years <br />Roseville $5/1 Year <br />St. Anthony $12/2 Years if spayed or neutered, otherwise $15/2 Years <br />Shoreview $10 /Length of Rabies Vaccination <br />Vadnais Heights $15/2 Years <br />WBL $17/1 Year <br />WBT $20/2 Years <br />Based on this review as well as the discussion at a recent Council meeting relative to <br />encouraging the spaying and neutering of pets, it is staff's recommendation that the <br />City's dog license fee be increased as noted below: <br />Dog License <br />Current Fee Proposed <br />$20/2 Years $15/2 Years if spayed or neutered <br />$20/2 Years <br />
