To reinforce these policies and procedures, we have a schedule of rewards and fines for
compliance checks. In order to encourage the proper follow - through of our procedures, we
reward our employees and managers for successfully passing a check. Conversely, if a part-time
employee fails a compliance check, their employment with us is terminated and the Manager -on-
Duty will be fined. As of yet, we have not determined the amount. In other words, we have no
tolerance for failure in this area.
As you can see, we are not pleased with the breakdown in procedure and have made a sincere
effort to assure that our operation complies with the law and restrict the potential for the
purchase of alcohol by underage persons, therefore we ask that you consider those effort and
recognize that we are not purposefully selling to minors. MGM Liquor Warehouse has chosen to
be a responsible partner in the community. And, it is hoped that you take into account the level
of our commitment to being a solution - rather than a problem - to this serious issue.
Sincerely,
Michael Belling, President
WLB, Inc.
2680 Rice Street
Little Canada, MN 55113
