CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 905.040 OF THE CITY CODE <br />RELATING TO CONDTIONAL USES IN THE R -1 SINGLE FAMILY DISTRICT <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />ORDAINS: <br />SECTION 1. Section 91905.040 relating to conditional uses in the R -1 <br />District is hereby amended to read a follows: <br />Subd. D. In the R -1 District, swimming pools, tennis courts, hockey <br />rinks, sport courts, and other recreational facilities which are operated for the <br />enjoyment and convenience of the residents of the principal use and their <br />guests are allowed in a front yard, other than a required front yard, provided <br />that: <br />1. The applicant does not exceed the maximum allowed impervious surface <br />of thirty (30) percent in the Shoreland District. <br />2. The recreational facility is screened from the view of the public street and <br />neighboring residential properties with landscaping. Said landscaping <br />must be tall enough to screen the proposed fence. <br />3. The architectural appearance of the structure is reasonably coordinated <br />with the principal structure. <br />4. Placement of the structure shall not detract from the appearance of the <br />streetscape and shall be consistent with the character of the <br />neighborhood. <br />5. Conformity with the surrounding neighborhood is maintained and required <br />setbacks requirements are met. <br />6. The total height of the fence used for enclosure of the structure does not <br />exceed ten (10) feet in height. <br />7. Side yard setbacks adjacent to residential property shall be doubled. <br />8. The recreational facility is limited to hours of operation between 9:00 AM <br />and 9:00 PM, or as specified by the City Council. <br />
