City of Little Canada, MN 7 <br />Owner's Responsibilities <br />KLM will require the assistance of the city to back flush and disinfect the reservoir of the <br />tank if the option of the dry tank or floatdown method is selected. The Owner would <br />need to provide a supply of water and hoses to perform this disinfection. A typical clean <br />out consists of washing down most of the heavy sediment while the water is draining. <br />The owner's personnel shall also be responsible for: <br />• Manning the shut off valve at all times <br />• Opening and closing the inlet/outlet pipe <br />• Verifying that clean out and disinfection have been performed to owner's <br />satisfaction <br />• Disposing of sediment and debris <br />• Taking and testing water samples <br />• Providing a ladder to reach the fixed ladder <br />• Providing copies of background information on tank, including maintenance <br />records, construction drawings, previous inspection reports, and previous painting <br />or reconditioning specifications. It is especially helpful if this information is <br />collected prior to KLM's personnel beginning its inspection. <br />Inspection Fees <br />Option 1: Float -down Inspection <br />The inspection will be performed in accordance to this proposal for a fee of $3,300.00. <br />Option 2: Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV) Seamor Rover Inspection <br />The inspection will be performed in accordance to this proposal fora fee of $2,300.00. <br />Option 3: Dry Tank Inspection <br />The dry tank inspection will be performed in accordance to this proposal for a fee of <br />$2,500.00 <br />Inspection Fees <br />The inspection will be performed in accordance with this proposal and the selected <br />option above. <br />If for some reason beyond KLM's control, the inspection of the tank cannot be performed <br />in one day, and KLM must return for a second day to complete the inspection, the cost of <br />a second day of inspection would be $1,200.00. KLM can replace the existing manway <br />gasket(s) for a 575.00 fee per gasket. Tanks that have excess sediment and require more <br />than one hour of cleaning time may result in extra charges above and beyond the original <br />contract amount. Fees are subject to change if proposed work exceeds 11 months from <br />this bid proposal. <br />9 <br />
