Action Item Highlights <br />Two items within the Empowering High Performance Strategic Direction are on track, with <br />measurable progress. <br />Develop communication materials around city finances and how taxpayer dollars are spent <br />o Finance and Communications have once again completed a Popular Annual <br />Financial Report for the 2024 financials <br />Review the online agenda system and process to ensure presentations are included <br />o Staff are working to retool the online agenda for 2027 compliance deadlines <br />Upcoming Work for Providing Transparent Communications in 2026 <br />Analyze and identify video communication opportunities <br />o Working with NineNorth <br />Enhance branded communication by reevaluating city brand guide <br />o Budgeted for 2026 <br />Work to ensure city communications are accessible and free of "jargon" <br />o Writing guide planned for 2026 <br />Strategic Priority: <br />While not a formal strategic priority, reporting on the status of the strategic plan is a documented <br />directive of the City Council. <br />Source Of Funds: <br />Strategic Plan items have been woven throughout the proposed 2026 budget. The budget process <br />has allowed staff members assigned to strategic plan items to fund initiatives outlined and approved <br />by the City Council. <br />Staff Recommendations: <br />No formal action.
