Consider Spatial Planning for Future Infrastructure <br />The TAC makes this endorsement with careful thought for current facility and community needs, as <br />well as future operations requirements. The construction of a community building should: <br />• Provide ample parking to support the community building, current needs, and potential growth <br />• Provide additional storage solutions for the Parks and Recreation Department <br />• Include outdoor, passive space adjacent to the play node <br /> <br />• Replace amenities that are removed during this project (i.e. courts) <br />Use Sustainable Building Strategies to Create a Green Building <br />The TAC shared their strong desire for the city to take a green building approach to creating an efficient <br />and resilient community facility including energy efficiencies & renewables, water conservation, <br />sustainable building materials, site and landscaping considerations and operational strategies. <br />4 City of Little Canada Technical Advisory Committee Final Report
