Establishment of the Community Building Technical Advisory Committee
At the April 23, 2025, City Council meeting, the Council established the Community Building Technical
Advisory Committee (TAC). The TAC would be composed of two City Council Members, four city staff
members, including the Parks and Recreation Director, Parks Maintenance Supervisor, Recreation
Coordinator, and Acting City Administrator/Assistant City Administrator, five Commission Members,
and several Community Members. City staff solicited applications from community members who were
interested in joining the TAC.
2025 Community Survey
The 2025 City of Little Canada Community Survey included three questions about a potential community
gathering space, asking residents if they supported its construction, what level of property tax increase they
would support, and whether they would rent space in the building and at what capacity. The results of these
questions, along with the full survey findings, were presented at the February 26, 2025, City Council meeting.
2025-2030 Strategic Planning Session
One key priority identified during the 2030 City of Little Canada Strategic Planning Session was a desire for
the community to “Deliver Dynamic Community Spaces."

Little Canada desires to have a connected community with trails, sidewalks and a community building for
public gatherings that physically connect the community and its residents.
City of Little Canada Technical Advisory Committee Final Report 7
