City of Little Canada Technical Advisory Committee Final Report 15
Community Survey Results
The city conducts a community survey every 7-8 years, often as part of the city’s strategy planning
process. The 2025 Community Survey included three questions about the future community building. The
questions looked to gain insight about support for a community gathering space, the level of property
tax increase individuals would support to fund a community gathering space, whether individuals
would be interested in renting out the space, and how many people the new community building should
accommodate.

Survey calls began on February 3, 2025. The survey format was a telephone survey using both landline
and cellphone numbers. Calls took place during various times on weekday evenings and during the
weekend. The survey was offered in English, Spanish, Hmong, and Somali.
Strong Opposition
5%Strong Support
15%Oppose
25%
Unsure
5%
Support
50%
Construction Support
Do you support the construction of a Community
Gathering Space?Nothing$2.00$1.0015%
10%
5%
0%
20%
25%
30%$4.00$3.00$5.00Over $6.00UnsureProperty Tax Increase Results for Gathering Space
(Supporters Only)
Likelihood of Renting Space in Community Building for Events
Not at all
20%
Very
15%
Somewhat
33%
Unsure
5%
Not Too Likely
20%
Capacity of indoor rental space more or less than 150
Less
61%
More
29%
Unsure
10%
