Function and Amenities Survey
City staff began soliciting feedback on a
community building in 2024. An online survey
pointed to some specific functions and uses of the
building. This survey asked residents about the
capacity of a rental room, what types of private
events they would hold, and what amenities
were most important to them. A section was also
provided to offer open-ended comments.

The survey was offered in English, Spanish,
Hmong, Arabic, Korean, Somali, and Vietnamese.

Key takeaways from this survey were:
• 58% of survey takers have an interest in a rental
room for more than 100 persons

• The most common need for rental space
included family gatherings and parties

• Other needs include weddings, business
meetings, and community meetings

• Amenities such as food service area, outdoor
patio, and AV equipment are important
Other
10.9%75-99
31.3%150+
17.2%
125-149
23.4%100-124
17.2%
Room Capacity
If a community building were available to the
community, what capacity would you prefer the
rental room be?
What Would You Use Rental Space For?1 2 3Family
Gatherings
Graduation
Party
Birthday
Party
4 5 6Community
Meetings Weddings Business
Meeting
What Amenities Are Most Important To You?1 2 3Food Service
Area
Outdoor
Patio
Sound
System
4 5 6Dance
Floor
AV
Equipment
Fire
Place
16 City of Little Canada Technical Advisory Committee Final Report
