<br />Source Of Funds: <br />Funding for animal impound services is from the general fund – Animal Control Department <br />(#27). The 2026 budget allocation will be adjusted to match the contract. A cost per service is <br />outlined in the attached agreement, with a monthly retainer of $250 ($3,000 annually) for <br />populations ranging from 10,001 to 20,000. This is in addition to any costs incurred within the <br />animal fee schedule for services. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendations: <br />Staff recommends approving the agreement with Companion Animal Control LLC & <br />Companion Animal Care LLC for services related to impounding animals as part of the contract <br />cities' law enforcement agreement with the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office.
