There needs to be a balance <br />between the useof public space available and private rental space. The programming of the space <br />can help determine the vision. Things to consider include plantings, lawn space, texture, color, <br />bloom time, sustainabilityand maintenance. She shared the importance of considering the use of <br />the space in the winter. <br />The TAC called for a break at 8:15pm. <br />The TAC reconvened at 8:20pm. <br />Industry Professional <br />Thomas Stromsodt, the Vice President of Oertel Architects attending the meeting to discuss the <br />project. Stromsodt shared the general project considerations-ƱIJÍIJèĖIJČϯċŪIJîĖIJČϠώŕŘĺĤôèťώ <br />procurement strategies, sustainable goal setting, coordination between sťÍťôϯèĺŪIJťƅϯſÍťôŘŜēôîώ <br />ÍIJîώîôŜĖČIJώĖıŕôŘÍťĖŽôŜϟώ“ēôώîôŜĖČIJώĖıŕôŘÍťĖŽôŜώÍŘôώŪŜŪÍīīƅώƱŽôώıŪŜťώēÍŽôŜώĺċώťēôώŕŘĺĤôèťϟώ“ēôŜôώ <br />ÍŘôώťēôώƱŽôώċôÍťŪŘôŜώťēÍťώÍŘôώıĺŜťώĖıŕĺŘťÍIJťώťĺώèĺIJŜĖîôŘώÍIJîώċĺīīĺſώťēŘĺŪČēώťēôώŕŘĺĤôèťϟώ‹ťŘĺıŜĺîťώ <br />shared that square footage and earth work have high-èĺŜťώôƯôèťŜϟώ <br />Presentation Discussion <br />The TAC discussed the key takeaways of the presentations. Design imperatives can be used as <br />guiding principles to give to the City Council. Choosing a few realistic sustainable options to create <br />ÍώČŘôôIJώæŪĖīîĖIJČώĖŜώîĺÍæīôώÍIJîώĖıŕĺŘťÍIJťϟώ“ēôώƲôƄĖæĖīĖťƅώĺċώťēôώŜŕÍèôώĖŜώĖıŕĺŘťÍIJťϠώIJôôîŜώťĺώƱťώ <br />programming as well as private rentals. Considering the future uses of the space and revenue <br />generated is also important. <br />Next meeting will be held on September 3.
