<br />4 <br /> <br />Strategic Priority: <br />This initiative directly supports the Strategic Direction – Delivering Dynamic Spaces and was an <br />overall priority #3 for the action items identified within the strategic goals for year one of the city’s <br />Strategic Plan. <br /> <br />Parks and Recreation Commission Support: <br />At the November 6, 2025, Parks and Recreation Commission meeting, the commission made a <br />motion of support to accept the report and to pursue procurement of engineering & design services. <br /> <br />Source of Funds: <br />Currently, there is no financial request for the use of funds. As a reminder, funds have been dedicated <br />in the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) Fund 400 for future design and engineering expenses. <br />Approval of those funds will be brought forward at an upcoming City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendations: <br />Staff recommends the City Council accept the Community Building TAC Report & <br />Recommendations and authorize staff to develop a Request for Proposals (RFP) to procure <br />engineering and design services for a community building. <br /> <br />Attachments: <br />• Community Building Technical Advisory Committee Final Report
