<br />jobs are more time consuming for staff. Many cities in the area are now charging an extra fee for <br />underground drilling work to make sure they are covered. This year, Public Works staff has had to <br />spend numerous hours dealing with the fiber optic cable project that has been going in all around <br />the city. There have been numerous questions from residents along with chasing down the different <br />contractors for various issues such as restoration. <br /> <br />Utility Fees <br />The cost changes for stormwater, water and sewer were discussed at the October 22, 2025 Council <br />Workshop. <br /> <br />• Stormwater Utility – 5% increase <br />• Water Rate – 10% increase <br />• Sewer Rate – 8% increase <br /> <br />Trash and Recycling Rates <br />These costs are determined by the contracts with the trash and recycling haulers, along with <br />estimated tipping fees based on how much the city has been paying over the last year. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendations: <br />Staff recommends adopting Ordinance 926 establishing the City’s fees for 2026. <br /> <br />Attachment: <br />• 2026 Proposed Little Canada Fee Schedule <br />• Ordinance 928 <br />• Summary Ordinance 928 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
