City staff completed a wide variety of updates to the <br />city’s Zoning Code that provide residents additional <br />fl exibility for the use and development of their <br />properties, improve readability and organization of <br />standards, and ensure additions to pedestrian amenities <br />(sidewalks, trails, paths) on future developments in Little <br />Canada. <br />2025 Department Accomplishments <br />Zoning Code Updates <br />In early 2025, city staff completed Little Canada’s <br />fi rst-ever housing study, which reviewed demographic <br />data for the city, evaluated the current housing supply, <br />compared Little Canada’s housing stock to neighboring <br />communities, and provided a handful of takeaways to <br />inform future planning eff orts <br />Housing Study <br />Th e city formally adopted cannabis ordinances <br />permitting one retail seller of marijuana in the city.
