LITTLE <br />CANADA <br />ROAD <br />IMPROVEMENT <br />MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />APRIL 4, 2012 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 4th day of <br />April, 2012 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Bill Blesener called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and the <br />following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />ABSENT: <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />City Administrator <br />City Engineer <br />Public Works Supt. <br />City Clerk <br />Mr. Bill Blesener <br />Ms. Shelly Boss <br />Mr. John Keis <br />Mr. Rick Montour <br />Mr. Mike McGraw <br />Mr. Joel Hanson <br />Mr. Lee Elfering <br />Mr. Bill Dircks <br />Ms. Kathy Glanzer <br />The purpose of this evening's workshop meeting is to discuss <br />specific details related to the proposed Little Canada Road <br />improvement from 35E to Edgerton Street, with the Council providing <br />direction to City staff relative to those details. <br />The City Engineer reported that Ramsey County has turned the planning <br />process for the Little Canada Road project over to the City. The Engineer <br />indicated that he has prepared a schematic of the project and began a <br />detailed review of the project specifics. <br />The Engineer indicated that from the 35E freeway ramp to the end of the <br />concrete curb on Little Canada Road, the street section is not proposed to <br />narrow. A mill and overlay is proposed fbr this section. From where the <br />concrete curbing stops to Edgerton, the project will consist of a full -depth <br />recycle /reconstruction project. The driving lanes for Little Canada Road <br />are proposed to shift to the north to make room for a sidewalk <br />improvement. It will be necessary to reinforce the shifted driving lanes <br />given additional road base will be needed in the shoulder area that these <br />lanes shift into. Blesener asked how far north the lanes are shifting. The <br />
