Resolution declared adopted.
The City Engineer reported the City received 8 bids for its 2012 Mill &
Overlay Improvements as well as rehabilitation of the Fire Station
parking lot and upper east Spooner Park parking lot. The bids ranged
a low of $402,583.93 submitted by T. A. Schifsky & Sons to a high of
$464,471.40. The City Engineer reported that the bids were close to
estimate, but resulted in a slight decrease in assessments.
Mark Schultz, 2610 Park Street, asked if the Park Street project will
include correction of the drainage problem at the Park Street /County Road
C intersection. The City Engineer replied that it would, indicating that a
manhole is being added to this area.
Schultz felt the project was needed and the cost appeared reasonable. He
indicated that he favored getting the work done.
Montour noted that the City has indicated to impacted property owners
that the projects would move forward if the bids came in at or below
estimate. Montour stated that he recalled that throughout the
neighborhood meeting and improvement hearing process, the majority of
property owners favored the project.
8
