Fahey
COUNCIL
Jim LaValle
Malt Anderson
Rick Montour
13111 Blesener
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
TO: Mayor Blesener and Members of the City Council
FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator
DATE: January 7, 2005
RE: On- Street Parking Restriction
County Road D from LaBore Road to the City's Eastern Boundary
The City has received a request from a property owner to post the south side of County
Road D from :LaBore Road to the City's eastern boundary line as "no parking". It
appears there is on- street parking generated from the Vadnais Heights apartment complex
that is located on the north side of County Road D. Et should be noted that the north side
of County Road D in this area (Vadnais Heights) is already posted as no parking.
Attached are the results of a survey sent to the four Little Canada properties that would be
impacted by this parking restrictions. Three property owners have responded, with two
in favor of the area being posted as no parking and one against additional restrictions.
It is staff's recommendation that that this area be posted no parking given the City's
liberal policy of granting parking permits to Little Canada residents upon request.
