This project is a 13 unit town <br />office development. The applicants proposed three principal components of the <br />Comprehensive Sign Plan: <br />Monument -style tenant directory sign, located along Middle Street at the <br />northernmost entrance drive. <br />Tenant identification signs at each tenant entrance door. <br />A separate State Farm Insurance sign on the north wall of the eastern <br />building. <br />The monument sign is an externally lit sign, mounted on a stone foundation and would <br />be approximately 10 feet in height. The sign is constructed of bronze - colored <br />aluminum. Individual tenant /owner signs would be dark letters on a white plastic <br />background. Although not internally lit, the City has sought sign identification design <br />that "reverses out" the name in light- colored lettering from a dark background. It is <br />noted that the name of the building complex is proposed to be constructed in this <br />manner. Because the sign is not internally lit, the proposed design meets the <br />architectural guidelines, however, the "reversed -out" pattern would be preferred. <br />The tenant /owner identification signs at each entrance door will be six square feet with <br />light lettering on a dark brown aluminum background. These signs meet the City's sign <br />and architectural guidelines. <br />
