If Dircks voluntarily resigns his position with the City, Dircks agrees to give the City twenty - <br />one (21) days advance notice. If Dircks voluntarily resigns his position with the City, there <br />shall be no severance pay due to Dircks nor payment for unused sick leave. Dircks will be <br />paid for any unused vacation pay. <br />11. GENERAL EXPENSES. The City recognizes that certain expenses of a non - personal and <br />job affiliated nature will be incurred by Dircks. The City agrees to reimburse or to pay said <br />expenses, subject to approval by the City Administrator. <br />12. HOURS OF WORK. The position of Public Works Superintendent will require over an <br />average of forty (40) hours per week to successfully discharge the duties assigned. It is also <br />understood that the position will require occasional attendance at evening meetings and <br />weekend meetings. It is understood by Dircks that additional compensation, overtime <br />compensation, and compensatory time shall not be allowed with reference to any such <br />additional expenditures of time. It is further understood that Dircks may absent himself from <br />the office to a reasonable extent in consideration of extraordinary time expenditures for <br />evening and weekend meetings at other than normal working hours subject to approval of the <br />City Administrator. <br />13. AUTOMOBILE. Dircks shall be paid mileage at the rate established by the City (currently <br />$.325 per mile) to use his personal automobile for City business. The City from time to time <br />in conjunction may adjust this rate with changes to Internal Revenue Service regulations. <br />During normal, working hours, Dircks shall have the use of a City vehicle for conducting <br />City business. <br />Page 5 of 7 <br />5 <br />
