WHEREAS, The Ramsey County Board of Commissioners approves the formation of a <br />Dispatch Policy Committee to provide oversight and monitoring of consolidated dispatch <br />services that includes elected official representatives from those PSAP /Dispatch Centers that join <br />the consolidated Dispatch Center with a membership for the first 7 years. If all four <br />PSAP/Dispatch Centers join, the composition of the Dispatch Policy Committee will be: <br />® 1 Ramsey County Sheriff <br />• I Saint Paul Mayor <br />• 4 Saint Paul City Councilmembers <br />• I Maplewood Mayor or City Councilmember <br />® 1 White Bear Lake Mayor of City Councilmember <br />® 2 Suburban elected representatives from cities that contract for dispatching services only <br />The number of representatives from the Saint Paul City Council will be reduced by one if either <br />Maplewood or White Bear Lake do not join the consolidated Dispatch Center of by two if both <br />Maplewood and White Bear Lake do not join the consolidated Dispatch Center. <br />The Saint Paul Mayor will chair the Dispatch Policy Committee for the first two years; thereafter <br />the Chair will rotate; Now, Therefore, Be It <br />RESOLVED, The City Council is interested in participating in the <br />Ramsey County Consolidated Dispatch Center; and Be It Further <br />RESOLVED, The City Council authorizes to <br />represent the City of in formal negotiations with Ramsey County. <br />5 <br />
