2012 GOAL <br />ACTION <br />PLANS <br />MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />APRIL 11, 2012 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 1 lth day of <br />April, 2012 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Bill Blesener called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. and the <br />following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />ABSENT: <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Council Member <br />City Administrator <br />City Clerk <br />Mr. Bill Blesener <br />Ms. Shelly Boss <br />Mr. John Keis <br />Mr. Rick Montour <br />Mr. Mike McGraw <br />Mr. Joel I-Ianson <br />Ms. Kathy Glanzer <br />The City Administrator reviewed the 2012 Goal Setting report that <br />resulted from the February 6th Goal Setting Session. At that session <br />goals from 2002 through 2011 were reviewed. Those goals that are <br />ongoing were identified and carried over as 2012 goals. Additionally, <br />three new 2012 goals were added. The Administrator reported that the <br />purpose of tonight's workshop meeting is to review proposed Action Plans <br />for each of these goals. <br />The first action plan reviewed was for "Develop Long -Term Strategic <br />Plan for Fire Fighting Services ". The Administrator reported that a <br />meeting was held last evening with representatives of Allina, the Fire <br />Department, and Council representatives. One decision that the Fire <br />Department has made is to require any new fire fighter to have first <br />responder training. That training will also be offered to any current <br />member of the Fire Department interested in taking it. The Fire <br />Department will begin budgeting for this cost as part of their 2013 Budget. <br />The Administrator also reported that Allina presented some very good <br />information relative to their response times. This information will be <br />included in an upcoming issue of the City's newsletter. Montour asked if <br />there was discussion about Allina having a presence in the Little Canada <br />Fire Station. Blesener noted that Allina explained that such a presence <br />
