Memo <br />-{LF{RING - EUSO(IlT{S <br />TRUE HAW <br />TO: Mayor Blesener & Members of the City Council <br />FROM: Lee Elfering, City Engineer <br />DATE: July 6, 2005 <br />RE: Flower Garden Reimbursement <br />3295 Twin Lake Road <br />As part of the 2004 Street and Utility Improvement project watermain was installed in the <br />Twin Lake Road/Trail area and the streets were reconstructed. As with nearly all <br />reconstruction projects some of the grading required to construct the new street section <br />disturbed existing flower gardens and boulevard plantings. One of the flower gardens <br />impacted was located at 3295 Twin Lake Road. Our on -site inspector indicated that we <br />would repair /replace the garden as is typically done with all impacts on a project. The <br />resident indicated a desire to modify and improve the garden himself possibly redoing <br />the entire area. Mr. Rogers was told that we would be willing to reimburse him for up to <br />the amount of the repairs that we would have completed as part of our restoration of the <br />area which was estimated at $400.00. The resident accepted this offer and has supplied <br />documentation of costs in excess of the $400.00 that was originally discussed.
