MINUTES
PLANNING COMMISSION
JULY 14, 2005
compliance with recommendation #2 in the City Planner's repot dated
July 11, 2005.
Motion seconded by Wojcik.
Motion carried 5 — 0. Barraclough abstained.
WORK The City Planner presented a work scope for updating of the Zoning
SCOPE FOR Code, Subdivision Code, and Environmental Regulations as well as a
UPDATING time line for the completion of these tasks. The City Planner noted that
ZONING this project will begin with staff review to identify areas that they feel
CODE, need attention. These comments will be compiled and submitted to the
SUBDIVISION Planning Commission and the City Council for discussion as their
CODE, AND review of the codes begins.
ENVIRONMENTAL
REGULATIONS The Planner noted that the process has two options, one for a joint review
by the City Council and the Planning Commission and the other for
separate reviews by each body.
ADJOURN
Knudsen stated that his preference was for a joint review feeling this
would be more productive given that the Commission and Council will
have the benefit of a dialogue with one another rather than just review of
meeting notes. The other Commissioners strongly agreed.
The Planner suggested that in preparation for the review meetings the
Commission begin reviewing the Codes marking those sections they feel
need attention.
Knudsen recommended that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion seconded by Socha.
Motion carried 6 — 0.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:52 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Kathy Glanzer
City Clerk
