2. The applicant shall not be open for business for tattooing before 12:00 noon <br />nor after 8:00 p.m. (These hours are indicated in the applicant's narrative) <br />3. Approval is granted for the compact and contiguous space specified within <br />the Conditional Use Permit. If the area is enlarged, altered, or expanded, it <br />must first be reviewed and approved by the City of Little Canada. <br />4. The applicant shall be solely responsible for the conduct of the business <br />being operated and shall at all times maintain conditions of order. <br />5. No person shall engage in the practice of tattooing or body piercing without <br />proper lavatory and sterilization and disposal of biohazardous materials. <br />6. No person shall practice tattooing or body piercing while under the influence <br />of alcoholic beverages or illicit drugs. No customer shall be tattooed or body <br />pierced while under the influence of alcoholic beverages or illicit drugs. <br />In addition to a Text Amendment and Conditional Use Permit and the aforementioned <br />conditions, some communities also allow the establishment of a tattoo parlor through a <br />license. The purpose of the license is to regulate the business of tattooing and body <br />piercing in order to protect the health and welfare of the public. As part of the license <br />process such things like skin preparation procedures, liability and insurance binders, <br />and heath and sanitation requirements are covered. <br />If the City Council feels that a license should be incorporated as part of this approval, a <br />draft license agreement should be drafted and presented to the Council prior to the <br />Conditional Use Permit. <br />Site Plan and Floor Area. As indicated previously, the applicant is not proposing to <br />expand the area or store front. As a condition of approval however, the applicant will be <br />required to provide to the City a site plan including floor area, and parking calculations. <br />Approval of the Conditional Use Permit shall not constitute approval of the building <br />permit. <br />Building Materials. The applicant has not submitted any information regarding the <br />appearance of the proposed storefront or signage. Building materials and a sign plan <br />shall be required. <br />Building Use. As previously indicated, it is the applicant's intent to use the proposed <br />site primarily for tattoo and piercing. No other related use will be allowed within the site. <br />3 <br />6 <br />
