We
have tried to calculate, as best we can, but not absolute with consultation
from Xcel Energy and our Electrical Contractor to the cost of moving &
relocation of the on -site emergency generator.
Approximate cost of moving and reconnection at a different site will
exceed a minimum of 518,000.00. There are also the issues of safety and
parking allotment around the site, which is cause for major concern.
A less costly, but viable solution would be to house the generator in a
permanent structure. Because the site is sixteen feet off the property line,
Cummins /Onan Representatives believe we may be able to meet current
code. I- Iowever, we are concerned that at this stage they will not put their
beliefs in writing.
We also would like for you to address the future of a permanent
outbuilding, keeping in mind future owners /tenants may not need the
generation, and the esthetics of this site.
Thank you for you cooperation in this platter.
