The following table summaries the total project costs that will be borne by the City and the
costs that will be assessed to the benefiting properties. A preliminary assessment roll has
been prepared and is attached.
Street
Estimated
Cost
% City
Assessed Cost
% Assessed
Street
Reconstruction
$111,854.36
15%
$94,618.13
85%
Storm Sewer
$206,802.18
100%
$0
0%
Water Main
$52,555.81
36%
$33,600
64%
Summary
The project is feasible from an engineering standpoint and meets all standards set forth by the
City. The reconstruction of the bridge approaches to an urban section is the most economical
option to do at this time based on the Ramsey County Public Works determination to
construct an urban section only in urban areas. The enlargement of the storm sewer to
accomidate future storm flow is the most economical solution to this poorly drained area.
The installation of the 8 -inch water main as part of the Edgerton Street bridge replacement
project is the most economical option because it will save the City of Little Canada and its
residents in the long run.
II: \GregS \Water \Feasibility Study County Road D Water Main.doe
