City of Little Canada, Minnesota <br />Receiving Waters <br />Receiving waters are recipients ofoutfall discharges from the City's municipal separate stoup <br />sewer system. In designating receiving waters within the SWPPP, the MS4 owner (City of Little <br />Canada) must consider the sensitivity of the receiving waters and future SWPPP modifications to <br />address storm water discharges impacting water quality of the receiving waters. <br />The following table lists the receiving waters within the City of Little Canada. <br />Receiving Water Location <br />Gervais Lake 234 acre Lake on east side of City <br />Ditch 16 From Gervais Lake west and north to northwest section of City. <br />(This ditch is maintained by the Ramsey - Washington Metro <br />Watershed District) <br />Round Lake 12.5 acre lake located on west side of City <br />Savage Lake 22.4 acre lake located in center of City (was divided in half due <br />to construction of Interstate Highway 35E) <br />Twin Lalce 35.5 Acre Lake on North side of City <br />Outfalls to receiving waters and other MS4s are shown in Figure 1 (Draft, end of Section II) in <br />accordance with Minimum Control Measure #3, Unique ID #3 -03 -R. <br />Storm Water Management Plan <br />All of the stomp water runoff from the City discharges into Ramsey- Washington Metro <br />Watershed District. The City follows minor watershed requirements of the Ramsey - Washington <br />Metro Watershed District, Watershed Management Plan (May 1997) that was incorporated into <br />the City's Comprehensive Plan. <br />The City does not have a Stone Water Utility or a specific storm water system ordinance. The <br />City has adopted the following ordinances, which address some of the impacts on the City's <br />storm water system: <br />• #505 Discharge Into City Streets <br />• #1800 Low Lands, Wetlands, and Marshes. <br />• #917 Zoning ordinance for Shoreland District. <br />• +919 Zoning ordinance for Wetland Systems District. <br />The City's organizational chart is shown in Figure 2 (end of Section II) to illustrate the <br />responsible City Departments and staff resources available for storm water management <br />activities. Ivey City staff available to accomplish SWPPP implementation activities are primarily <br />part of the Public Works Department and the Inspections Department. This staff is currently <br />involved in storm water related activities ranging from on -going maintenance of the City's stone <br />water system to development plan review. <br />City nt' Little Canada.
