The City of Little Canada <br />will work with the Ramsey - Washington Metro Watershed District (RWMWD) to use their <br />educational events and activities. <br />Justification: <br />Watershed Management Organizations depend on land use decisions made by the private sector and <br />municipalities within jurisdiction. These organizations have more available funding and opportunity <br />to work with multiple communities that is not available to local municipalities. Use of the <br />RWMWD educational events and activities is a cost - effective and efficient way to provide a uniform <br />education message to city residents. <br />Responsible Staff /Position: <br />Public Works Director 651.766.4049 <br />Measurable Goals: <br />1. Obtain Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with RWMWD to provide educational activities. <br />2. Count number of educational activities that the City participated with the RWMWD. <br />Implementation Schedule: <br />1. Obtain MOU with RWMWD to provide educational activities by March 10, 2005. <br />Education Program /Public Outreach Component: <br />1. Audience or audiences: Residents and businesses. <br />2. Increased awareness: The program will educate the target audiences by giving them a good <br />understanding of a variety of water quality topics and how citizens can make a difference. <br />Annual Reporting Items: <br />1.
