BMP Name: BMP Maintenance Agreemet � m Of Little ea <br />ndC7d <br />Unique ID: 5 -03 -R <br />MCM: 45 — Post Construction Storm Water Management <br />Description: <br />The City of Little Canada will begin a program to maintain the BMP with the MS4. Of specific <br />concem is the maintenance of stout' water ponds within the MS4. <br />Justification: <br />There are many structural controls located tluroughout the City that are owned and operated by both <br />public and private entities. Before a comprehensive maintenance plan can be implemented to <br />address all of the practices, a complete list of BMPs and their locations and site conditions needs to <br />be completed. An inspection and maintenance schedule can be developed to maximize efficiency <br />and minimize labor requirements. The system can be expanded to include other types of MS4 <br />maintenance, including street sweeping, catch basin cleaning, storm drain flushing, etc. This is a <br />required BMP in pet uit party V.G.5.b. <br />Responsible Staff /Position: <br />Public Works Director 651.766.4049 <br />Measurable Goals: <br />1. Review like cities plans and methods for maintenance of BMP by March 2005. <br />2. Identification of BMPs in the MS4 and note this on MS4 system map by March 2005. <br />3. Issue RFP for redesign plans as necessary by March 2006. <br />4. From March 2006 to March 2008, continue inspection and make repairs as financially possible. <br />Implementation Schedule: <br />1. See measurable goals descriptions. <br />Education Program /Public Outreach Component: <br />1. Audience or audiences: City Street maintenance employees, environmental groups, residents and <br />business within the City that have an interest in storm water management practices. <br />Increased awareness: Publish article(s) in city newsletter, and City website that address BMP <br />maintenance and suggestions to residents and businesses on BMPs that would minimize the need <br />for or frequency of maintenance in the future. <br />Annual Reporting Items: <br />1.
