® We must construct a roadway embankment just south of and significantly higher
than Twin Lake Trail, and we must construct this embankment from the bottom
up.
® We must construct storm sewer stubs out to Twin Lake Trail (to which the city
will connect with their construction of their storm sewer to drain water from the
Twin Lake Trail neighborhood).
• Proper grading of the embankment in a manner that will provide the best shape
for drainage and turf establishment will require adequate access to and working
room in this area.
® We will remove a 30 -year old fence around which the vegetation currently grows.
• The most practical way to construction access the land surface behind (north of)
the proposed sound barrier is from Twin Lake Trail.
However, we will re- examine the construction plan to see if some of the trees can be
saved. Moreover, Mn/DOT is willing to consider landscape planting in this area to try to
restore the greenery lost in order to soften the appearance of the sound barrier.
Sincerely,
Jeff Gibbens
Project Manager
cc: Greg Schroeder
Frank Palk()
Marc Goess
8
