MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 23, 2004 <br />TABULATION OF <br />TRAIL BIDS <br />CITY <br />LICENSES <br />ADJOURN <br />The City Administrator reviewed his report dated June l8, 2004 relative <br />to the tabulation of trail bids, and recommended the rejection of these bids <br />with a rebid of the project in the spring. The Administrator pointed out <br />that clue to a number of issues only two bids were received. The low bid <br />received was substantially over the Park Consultant's estimate. The <br />Administrator felt that through a restructuring of the bid request, the City <br />would be able to get more favorable bids in the spring. <br />The Administrator noted that the City has a grant to cover the cost of a <br />portion of this work. The grant administrator has indicated that they <br />would extend the grant upon receipt of a written request to do so by the <br />City. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004 -6 -139 — REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED <br />FOR 2004 TRAIL WORK BASED ON THE RECOMMENDATION OF <br />THE CITYADMINLSTRATOR AND INSTRUCTING THE <br />ADMINISTRATOR TO SUI311IIT A WRITTEN REQUEST FOR <br />EXTENSION OF THE CITY'S TRAIL GRANT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, LaValle, Montour, Anderson, Blesener. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Attorney reported that Chapters 803 and 806 of the City Code <br />provide for annual City licenses. The Council discussed amending the <br />ordinance to provide for shorter license periods in the event the City has <br />the need, i.e. the resolution of code enforcement issues. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004 -6 -140 — ADJOURNING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Montour, Fahey, Blesener, Anderson. <br />Nays (0).
