MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 26, 2004 <br />AMENDMENT <br />TO ZONING <br />CODE — <br />LOT <br />STANDARDS <br />IN RB DISTRICT <br />AMENDMENT <br />TO ZONING <br />CODE — <br />SAVAGE LAKE <br />DESIGNATION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Blesener, Montour, Fahey, Anderson. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Fahey opened the public hearing to consider an Amendment to the <br />Zoning Code relative to lot standards for two - family homes in the <br />Residential- Business (RB) Zoning District. The Planning <br />Commission has recommended approval of the amendment. <br />The City Planner indicated that in reviewing the standards in the R -2 <br />District and the R -B District, it was noted that there is a discrepancy in the <br />lot size standards for two - family dwellings. This amendment would <br />establish a consistent standard of 15,000 square feet for two - family <br />dwellings. <br />There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on <br />this matter. <br />Upon motion by Blesener, seconded by Fahey, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004 -5 -110 - ADOPTING AN ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING CHAPTER 909.050 OF THE LITTLE CANADA CITY <br />CODE, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, BY PROVIDING <br />FOR THE MINIMUM LOT SIZE FOR TWO FAMILY STRUCTURES <br />IN THE R -2, MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Fahey, Montour, Anderson. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Fahey opened the public hearing to consider an Amendment to the <br />Zoning Code relative to the designation of Savage Lake in the <br />Shoreland District. <br />The City Planner requested that action on this matter be tabled as he is <br />doing additional research with the Watershed and the DNR. <br />There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on <br />this matter. <br />Upon motion by LaValle, seconded by Blesener, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />19 <br />
