MINUTES CITY COUNCIL MAY 26, 2004 AMENDMENT TO ZONING CODE — LOT STANDARDS IN RB DISTRICT AMENDMENT TO ZONING CODE — SAVAGE LAKE DESIGNATION The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. Ayes (5) LaValle, Blesener, Montour, Fahey, Anderson. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. Fahey opened the public hearing to consider an Amendment to the Zoning Code relative to lot standards for two - family homes in the Residential- Business (RB) Zoning District. The Planning Commission has recommended approval of the amendment. The City Planner indicated that in reviewing the standards in the R -2 District and the R -B District, it was noted that there is a discrepancy in the lot size standards for two - family dwellings. This amendment would establish a consistent standard of 15,000 square feet for two - family dwellings. There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on this matter. Upon motion by Blesener, seconded by Fahey, the public hearing was closed. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2004 -5 -110 - ADOPTING AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 909.050 OF THE LITTLE CANADA CITY CODE, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, BY PROVIDING FOR THE MINIMUM LOT SIZE FOR TWO FAMILY STRUCTURES IN THE R -2, MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Fahey, Montour, Anderson. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. Fahey opened the public hearing to consider an Amendment to the Zoning Code relative to the designation of Savage Lake in the Shoreland District. The City Planner requested that action on this matter be tabled as he is doing additional research with the Watershed and the DNR. There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on this matter. Upon motion by LaValle, seconded by Blesener, the public hearing was closed. 19
