MINUTES <br />NOEL DR. <br />PROPERTY <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />September 5, 2002 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Parks & Recreation <br />Commission of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 5th day of September, <br />2002 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said <br />City. <br />Chair Sackett Glaser called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the following members of <br />the Commission were present: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: <br />Ms. Ginger Sackett Glaser, Chair <br />Mr. James Broten <br />Mr. David Gray <br />Mr. Craig Larson <br />Mr. Robert Schabacker <br />Mr. Kevin Steinert <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: Ms. Carla Horwath <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Mr. Bill Sanders, Park Consultant <br />Mr. Derek Anderson, P &R Program Coordinator <br />Ms. Kris Pechman, Recording Secretary <br />Broten stated that the minutes from the meeting on August 1, 2002 relating to the Aspen <br />Pond issue should be changed to reflect the fact that the City had planted the trees, not the <br />homeowner. Also, the City Administrator had stated that he was going to have Park <br />Maintenance look into a solution for the damaged trees. <br />Gray recommended that the minutes from the meeting dated August 1, 2002 be approved <br />as amended. <br />Motion seconded by Larson. <br />Motion carried 6 — 0. <br />Ms. Kathy Smith, a former resident and former commission member of Little Canada, was <br />present to discuss the possibility of her purchasing some City -owned property on Noel Drive <br />across the street from Gervais Mill Park. The property is currently zoned R -1 Single Family <br />Residential and she would like to build a home on the property that would have an exterior <br />similar to the Gervais Grist Mill. She stated that she plans on residing in the home and <br />would possibility split the lot for a second single family home that would also have a similar <br />historical exterior. Smith intends on working closely with Little Canada's Historical Society <br />on this project. She stated that she misses the small town feel of Little Canada and has a <br />desire to bring back a piece of what Little Canada used to look like. <br />Page l ^18. <br />
