Hanson <br />As you may know, MNDOT is preparing to replace the Edgerton Street Bridge over I- 694/I -35E. <br />As part of that project, the approaches to this bridge will need to be reconstructed and the City of <br />Little Canada is proposing to install watermain within this construction area along County Road D <br />west of Edgerton Street. <br />MNDOT has completed the plans for the bridge approaches and has included the watermain and <br />storm sewer work requested by the City. The current cost estimate to install the watermain is <br />$67,582 of which $33,600 may be assessable. In addition, the bridge approaches are to be <br />reconstructed to an urban section and will include the installation of storm sewer. The portion of <br />the street reconstruction and storm sewer work to occur within the Little Canada City Limits is <br />currently estimated to cost $563,658 of which $337,704 is Ramsey Counties share and $186,748 is <br />the City of Little Canada share, with MNDOT responsible for the remaining. <br />This project is currently schedule for bid opening on July 23, 2004 and work is estimated to begin <br />in September 2004. <br />Staff recommends council approval of the plans and authorization to bid this project. <br />[I:AE regS \Conaspondenec )reg S 2001APlans approval County Road 1) tldgerion Slreet.doc <br />
