Recommendations <br />• Researches and complies with all local, state and federal laws relating <br />to the Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) requirements of firearms <br />dealers, licensing, inspection, and secure storage of all firearms <br />• Researches and complies with all local, state, and federal laws relating <br />to a gun shop business, firearms, to and including building codes <br />• Works with and completes all crime prevention recommendations <br />made by the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office Crime Prevention Unit <br />• Provides documentary evidence that all areas of requirements have <br />been met as directed by the City of Little Canada, State of Minnesota, <br />and the ATF <br />Interior Lighting <br />• Lighting that illuminates the entire inside of the business leaving no <br />obvious dark areas. <br />o Showroom <br />o Offices <br />o Classroom <br />o Restroom <br />• Lighting in the showroom should be left on 24 hours <br />o People can see inside the business during all business and <br />non- business hours <br />o Squads can see inside the business during patrol tours <br />Exterior Lighting <br />• Adequate lighting around the exterior of the entire building and <br />parking areas at all times <br />• Exterior lighting should not contrast with interior lighting making it <br />hard for people or our patrol deputies to see inside the store at night. <br />Windows <br />• Eliminate plate glass windows and replace with masonary <br />• or <br />• Target harden all windows with bars that cover the entire area of the <br />window and are secured into the buildings framework <br />
