MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL & PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />MARCH 13, 2008 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a joint workshop meeting of the <br />City Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 13th day <br />of March, 2008 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Bill Blesener called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. and the <br />following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Mr. Bill Blesener <br /> Council Member Ms. Barbara Allan <br /> Council Member Mr. John Keis <br /> Council Member Mr. Michael McGraw <br /> Council Member Mr. Rick Montour <br />PLANNING <br />COMMISSION: Chair Mr. Dan Knudsen <br /> Vice Chair Mr. Tom Duray <br /> Commissioner Mr. Scott Barraclough <br /> Commissioner Mr. John Hall <br /> Commissioner Ms. Kate Socha <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Mr. Joel R. Hanson <br /> City Planner Mr. Steve Grittman <br /> Code Enf. Officer Ms. Jessica Jagoe <br /> City Clerk Ms. Kathy Glanzer <br />I-1 ZONING The purpose of this evening's workshop meeting is to review proposed <br />DISTRICT I-1 Zoning District Changes. Mayor Blesener noted that if changes are <br />adopted to the I-1 District, existing Conditional Use Permits in the District <br />will be grandfathered in. The new standards would come into play if a <br />property owner applies for an amendment to their existing CUP or a new <br />CUP. <br />The City Planner reviewed the proposed changes to the I-1 Zoning District <br />in detail beginning with 914.040. CONDITIONAL USES. G.l. through <br />16. which regulate open and outdoor storage as an accessory use. Major <br />highlights of these requirements are: <br />o Outdoor storage shall require a separate business license. <br />The Planner noted that a CUP for outdoor storage runs with <br />the land. The proposal is to require an outdoor storage <br />license which would be specific to each user. <br />
