MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
NOVEMBER 24, 2004
Rustad noted that his building will be abutting some residential properties,
and he wanted to propose a building that fit with the area.
The Planner noted that the Architectural Guidelines give the City Council
flexibility on the types of' materials that can be utilized. Increasing the use
of stone treatment on the proposed building is consistent with that
flexibility.
Allan asked about the use of stone higher on the building. Rustad
indicated that he looked at that, but felt the appearance was not as good.
Allan was concerned that the stone would be hidden by the landscaping.
Rustad stated that bringing the stone up higher had a heavy appearance.
He noted that stone has been added around the entry doors to the building.
Montour asked about signage. Rustad replied that there would be subtle
entrance signs at each doorway and a small monument sign near the street.
There was no one from the general public present wishing to comment on
this matter.
Upon motion by Blesener, seconded by Montour, the public hearing was
closed.
Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2004 -1.1 -283 — APPROVING THE
ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW OF OFFICE BUILDING PROPOSED
FOR 206 LITTLE CANADA ROAD AS PRESENTED BY DAVE
RUSTAD SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE REVLSED PLAN
PRESENTED THIS EVENING AND SUBJECT TO SUBMITTAL
AND APPROVAL OFA LANDSCAPING PLAN FOR THE
PROPERTY
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener.
Ayes (5) LaValle, Blesener, Montour, Allan, Fahey.
Nays (0).
