MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />NOVEMBER 24, 2004 <br />REVIEW FOR THE A & W AT 3006 RICE STREET UNTIL THE <br />DECEMBER 15, 2004 COUNCIL MEETING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Montour, Fahey, Allan, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />PUD Mayor Fahey opened the public hearing to consider the request for <br />PERMIT — Planned Unit Development Permit to allow a non- traditional retail <br />2866 MIDDLE business within the Market Square Town Offices at 2866 Middle <br />STREET — Street as requested by Jack Fuhrman and Janel Russell. It was noted <br />JACK that the City Planner and the Planning Commission have <br />FUHRMAN recommended approval subject to the requirement that retail sales <br />AND be conducted by appointment only and that there is no signage relating <br />JANEL to retail product sales. <br />RUSSELL <br />Janel Russell indicated that they were agreeable to the conditions <br />recommended by the City Planner. <br />Blesener asked how many employees the business had. Russell indicated <br />that at this point there are no employees, just Mr. Fuhrman and her. <br />Russell described the nature of their business which involves seeking <br />licensing agreements for the manufacture and sale off -site of their product <br />designs. Russell anticipated that one or two employees could be added in <br />the future. <br />Montour asked how much space the business occupies in Roseville. <br />Fuhrman replied that they currently have about 1,000 square feet. The <br />new space will have 2,000 square feet of finished space, plus 1,000 square <br />feet of storage. <br />Fahey noted the City Planner's comment that the business use is <br />essentially office in nature. <br />There was 110 one from the general public present wishing to comment on <br />this matter. <br />Upon motion by Blesener, seconded by Montour, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004 -1.1 -285 — APPROVING THE PLANNED <br />UNIT DEVELOPMENT PERMIT ALLOWING A NON - <br />TRADITIONAL RETAIL BUSINESS WITHIN THE MARKET <br />4 <br />
