Street, and we ;t of
Arcade Street
Little Canada, Ramsey County
CS: 6212
Dear Mr. Grittman:
The Minnesota Department of Transportation have reviewed the above - referenced plat n
compliance with Minnesota Statute 505.03, subdivision 2., Plats. Before any further
development, please address the following issues:
• A drainage permit is required for this project. All construction currently undenvay within
the Mn/DOT right of way, including within the drainage ditch easement, shall t e stopped
immediately until Mn/DOT Metro District Water Resources Engineering appro ves any
and all construction plans involving Mn/DOT right of way and drainage ditch easements.
The grading work that has commenced within the Mn/DOT drainage swale was initiated
without the review and approval of Mn/DOT Water Resources Engineering. Ti its
drainage swale conveys storm water from TH 36 and ultimately discharges to C ervais
Lake. Current drainage rates to the Mn/DOT right of way, and the Mn/DOT drainage
Swale, must be maintained, as well as the water quality of any flows to Mn/D0':' right of
way, or to the Mn/DOT drainage swale. The developer needs to submit maps to
Mn/DOT Metro District Water Resources Engineering showing pre- and post -
construction drainage areas with time of concentration flow paths and soil information for
the complete drainage area. The maps should be accompanied by drainage con putations
for pre- and post- construction conditions during 10 and 100 year events. For questions
on drainage issues, please call Rusty Nereng, Mn/DOT Metro District Water Resources
Engineering, at (651) 634 -2111.
Any use of or work within Mn/DOT right of way requires a permit. Permit forms are
available from MnDOT's utility website at www.dot.state.mn.us /tecsup /utility. Please
direct any questions regarding permit requirements to Keith Van Wagner (651-582 -
1443), or Buck Craig (651 - 582 -1447) of MnDOT's Metro Permits Section.
An equal opportunity employer
