MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MARCH 12, 2008 <br />WALTER The City Administrator reviewed the Parks & Recreation Director's <br />STREET report dated March 7, 2008 recommending the award of bids for the <br />TRAIL Walter Street Trail Connection. The Administrator noted that Little <br />CONNECTION Canada has entered into a Joint Powers Agreement with the City of Little <br />Canada for the connection of its power line hail to Maplewood's Walter <br />Street Trail He noted that 20 bids were received for this work. The initial <br />project estimate was over $160,000, and the low bids total just under <br />$63,000. The cost of the work is based on the amount of land in each city, <br />with Little Canada having 60% of the land and Maplewood having 40%. <br />Mr. Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008-3-71-APPROVING THE FOLLOWING <br />BIDS FOR THE WALTER STREET TRAIL CONNECTION: <br />BASE BID A - HOFFMAN & McNAMARA - $24,254.00; <br />BASE BID B - WRUCK EXCAVATING - $38,553.50 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ADJOURN Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008-3-72 -ADJOURNING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0).
