MINUTES <br />AMENDMENT <br />TO PUP — <br />55 COUNTY <br />ROAD B EAST — <br />SIIURGARD <br />SELF STORAGE <br />MINUTES OF TIDE REGULAR MEE 1 ING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />OCTOBER 14, 2004 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Planning <br />Commission of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 14th day of <br />October, 2004 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Chair John Keis called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the following <br />members of the Planning Commission were present at roll call: <br />PLANNING COMMISSION: <br />ABSENT: <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Mr. John Keis <br />Mr. Scott Barraclough <br />Mr. Tom Duray <br />Mr. Gary Rheaume <br />Mr. Dan Knudsen <br />Ms. Kathy Weihe <br />Mr. Tom Wojcik <br />Mr. Steve Grittman, City Planner <br />The September 9, 2004 Planning Commission minutes were approved as <br />submitted. <br />A representative of Shurgard Self Storage appeared before the Planning <br />Commission requesting approval of an Amendment to PUD to allow <br />additional directional signage in excess of what was initially allowed in <br />the PUD. The representative pointed out that given the multiple <br />buildings on the property and site grades, it has been difficult for <br />customers to find the office location. The representative showed various <br />pictures showing the property layout as well as the proposed directional <br />signage. <br />The City Planner indicated that even with the addition of the directional <br />signage proposed, the property is well below the maximum amount of <br />signage that would be allowed. <br />Barraclough recommended approval of the Amendment to Planned Unit <br />Development allowing the addition of directional signage in excess of <br />what was initially allowed in the PUD for 55 County Road B East as <br />
