Fahey
COUNCIL
Jim LaValle
Matt Anderson
Rick Montour
Bill Blesener
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
As you know, we imposed a charge of $100 per quarter for any non - compliant sump pumps existing
within the City. Non - compliance is defined as anyone who is illegally discharging to our sanitary sewer
system or who did not allow us to verify that there property was in compliance with our ordinance. There
are currently four accounts subject to this charge.
Given the lawsuit filed by Mr. Simcha Plisner relative to our sump pump program, the City's counsel has
advised that we put that charge into abeyance pending the outcome of this matter. Therefore, staff is
recommending we suspend the sump pump charge effective in the next billing cycle (bills that will go out
about October 15`h).
