Fahey
COUNCIL
Jim LaValle
Matt Anderson
Rick Montour
Bill Blesener
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
As discussed at the last meeting, it is necessary to amend Chapter 702 of the Municipal Code relative
to the Coliseum Billiard request for an On -Sale 3.2 Intoxicating Malt Liquor License as well as 2
a.m. License. Attached is a proposed ordinance amendment that expands the list of permitted
licensees to include billiard halls, allows for a 2 a.m. license for on -sale 3.2 intoxicating malt liquor,
and accommodates Coliseum Billiard's 4 a.m. closing time. You will note that liquor sales and
consumption would be required to cease at the appropriate times outlined in the Code and the
stipulation requiring individuals to vacate the premises at 1:30 a.m. is eliminated.
Subject to the comments of the City Attorney, staff would recommend approval of the ordinance as
proposed.
Subject to Council's adoption of the Code amendment, staff would recommend approval of the On-
Sale 3.2 Intoxicating Liquor License and the 2 a.m. License for Coliseum Billiards as requested.
Staff also recommends approval of the Tobacco License as requested.
cc: Mike Melloy, Coliseum Billiards
