Ramsey County and I are proposing to split the costs of this work 50/50; therefore, the city share
would be approximately $8,750.
The above resolves the problem of the sediment in the SE corner of Round Lake. However, we
still need to prevent or greatly reduce the amount of material getting to the Lake. As a result, I
am proposing the removal of the last catch basin in Jessica Court and replacing it with a
sediment trapping catch basin. Then city crews can use our Vactor to easily remove trapped
sediment on a scheduled basis before it gets to the lake. I will be developing this design over
winter and propose it to be installed in the spring. Once the design and cost estimate are
developed, I will bring it before the Council for approval.
FC \GregS \Storm Water \Round Lake Sediment.doe
