cannot be disposed of through recycling efforts or refuse collection. These include, but are not
<br />limited to: aerosol cans, insecticides, Liquid paint and other finishes, old gasoline, paint strippers,
<br />rat poison, solvents or thinners, weed killer, wood preservatives, and others that may be designated
<br />by Ramsey County Division of Solid Waste. These are wastes that are generated in the operation
<br />of a home and are based on limited, household quantities.
<br />(H) Industrial Waste. Solid waste resulting from an industrial, manufacturing, service or
<br />commercial activity that is managed as a separate waste stream.
<br />(I) Mixed Municipal Solid Waste (MSW). Garbage, other refuse, appliances and
<br />furniture, and other solid waste from residential, commercial, industrial, and community activities
<br />that the generator of the waste aggregates for collection, but does not include recyclables, yard waste,
<br />auto hulks, street sweepings, ash, construction debris, mining wastes, sludges, tree and agricultural
<br />wastes, tires, lead acid batteries, motor and vehicle fluids and filters, and other materials collected,
<br />processed and disposed of as separate waste streams.
<br />(J) Multi- family Dwelling Unit. A structure or portion thereof, designated or used
<br />predominately for residential occupancy of a continued nature, including tri-plex, four -plex,
<br />townhome, condominium, apartment, and mobile home dwellings.
<br />(K) Organized Collection. A system for collecting mixed municipal solid waste in which
<br />a specified collector(s) is authorized to collect from a defined geographic service area or areas, some
<br />or all of the mixed municipal solid waste that is released by generators for collection.
<br />(L) Place of Business. Any social, cormercial, fraternal, religious, educational, medical,
<br />or industrial establishment.
<br />(M) Recyclable Materials. Materials that are separated from mixed municipal solid waste
<br />for the purpose of recycling, including newspaper, corrugated cardboard, ledger paper, bi -metal
<br />cans, aluminum, plastic, glass, mixed mail, and magazines. Recyclable materials specifically
<br />excludes yard waste.
<br />(N) Recycling. The process of collection and preparing recyclable materials and reusing
<br />the materials in their original form or using them in manufacturing processes that do not cause the
<br />destruction of recyclable materials in a manner that precludes further use.
<br />(0) Low Density Dwelling Unit. A structure or portion thereof, designated or used
<br />predominately for residential occupancy of a continued nature, including single family and duplex
<br />dwellings.
<br />(P) Yard Waste. Yard waste includes grass clippings, soft- bodied plants, and leaves, and
<br />specifically excludes brush, limbs, recyclables and mixed municipal solid waste.
