iIMUTES <br />City Council <br />Nov. 28, 1924 <br />Poolside <br />(Cont,) <br />The foregoing resolution was (luly seconded by 'qtr. 'Forsberg <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Forsberg, Scalze, Nardi.nl, Hanson. <br />Mayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. II, Page 564, <br />The City Clerk reported that the Pool de development proposal meets <br />all Codes. <br />,tr. Richard Crum, an architect representing Poolside, requested that <br />Pooiside be given a year to determine what it wants to do with the <br />two existing buildings on the property. Crum reported that Poolside <br />has not had a chance to look into various alternatives for these <br />buildings. <br />The Planner reported that if Poolside would plan a subordinate type <br />QC use for the buildings, the City would have to know what that use <br />was in order to determine 11 it were acceptable or not. <br />Mrs. Scalze commented that she thought the Pooiside plans looked <br />fantastic and drought that Pooiside should clean up their property <br />and make it look good. <br />Mr. Forsberg stated that if the Council does not take action on the <br />two existing buildings, they will end up remaining on the property <br />forever. <br />The Planner stated that the City could require a bond in an amount <br />that would cover the removal of these two buildings. The Planner <br />also reported that the buildings could be handled by dividing the <br />property, putting a PUD on the property or using the buildings for an <br />accessory use. <br />Scalze felt the buildings too large for an accessory use. Scalze <br />also was not agreeable to going to a PHD just to fit the ordinance. <br />Mr. Fahey agreed. Fahey felt that the City should get the property <br />cleaned up. Fahey stated that he was not against allowing Poolside <br />some time to do this, however. <br />Mr. Forsberg suggested that the City give Poolsi.de 60 days after the <br />occupancy permit is issued on the new building to remove the two <br />structures. Mrs. Nardini felt that 90 days was more reasonable. <br />lir. Crum suggested that Poolside might want Lo rennovate the buildings <br />and either sell them or lease there. The Planner stated that the <br />applicant would have theoption of coming hack and asking the Council <br />to reconsider its decision. <br />Page —13— <br />
