MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AUGUST 14, 2002 <br />after Poolside was already in existence_ Fahey felt, however, that there <br />needed to be a balance of interests between the business owner and the <br />residents. <br />Mr. Griebler, Jackson Street resident, pointed out that Poolside violates <br />the posted no parking on Jackson street. <br />Dorn asked if Poo'side's chlorine tanks were subject to regulation. <br />Stroman reported that the tanks must meet State regulations and are <br />subject to inspections. It was noted that the tank will be relocated, and it <br />will be enclosed on three sides with a roof over it <br />There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment <br />further on this matter <br />Upon motion by Fahey, seconded by Montour, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Council discussed approval of the Poolside Architectural Review subject <br />to a list of conditions primarily related to the Jackson Street access as <br />semi - truck traffic in and out of the site <br />The City Administrator pointed out the commercial building at 80 Little <br />Canada Road and questioned the impact that restrictions on semi -truck <br />traffic would have on the businesses in that building. The Administrator <br />noted that the loading docks for that building are located on the south side <br />of the property, nearest Jackson Street. <br />Anderson suggested that rather than limiting truck traffic on Jackson <br />Street, that the Poolside access to Jackson sheet be posted as "no left turn" <br />and "exit only Fahey noted (hat That would not allow smaller trucks <br />from entering the Poolside site via Jackson Street. <br />The City Administrator suggested that staffevaluate the impact of limiting <br />access to Jackson Street on 80 Little Canada Road, and bring in a <br />recommendation at the next meeting Council discussed whether to grant <br />a contingent approval or table action on the Poolside application at this <br />point pending a report from staff on the impact on other properties. It was <br />the consensus of the Council that more information was needed on the <br />impact to surrounding businesses beHre finalizing the Poolside matter. <br />
