MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 27, 2008 <br />FUNDING comprehensive road and transit funding as was included on the Consent <br />Agenda. Blesener suggested passing a resolution in support of the <br />Legislature's passage of this bill. <br />In discussing this issue, Council's consensus was that a letter of thanks <br />should be sent to the City's local Legislators for their support of road and <br />transit funding. 1t was hoped that a portion of this funding will be utilized <br />for the replacement of the Rice Street Bridge over Highway 36. <br />Ms. Allan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2008-2-54 -AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND <br />CITYADMINISTRATOR TO SEND A LETTER OF THANKS TO <br />LOCAL LEGISLATORS FOR THEIR SUPPORT IN PASSING THE <br />TRANSPORTATION BILL <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />OUTDOOR The City Attorney presented the Council with a proposed ordinance that <br />STORAGE extends the City's current moratorium on outdoor storage in the I-1 <br />STUDY District until September 14, 2008 to allow the City more time to complete <br />MORATORIUM its study of this issue. The City Attorney noted that should the study be <br />completed prior to September, the Council has the ability to repeal the <br />moratorium at an earlier date. <br />Ms. Allan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2008-2-SS - ADOPTING AN INTERIM <br />ORDINANCE PURSUANT TO MN STATUTE 462.355, SUBD. 4 <br />PRESERVING THE STATUS QUO IN THE CITY OF LITTLE <br />CANADA PENDING THE CONSIDERATIONAND ADOPTION OF <br />AMENDED OFFICIAL CONTROLS REGARDING PERMITTED <br />OUTDOOR STORAGE ON PROPERTY ZONED I-I <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />CONTINUE The City Attorney inquired as to the City's interest in utilizing the <br />FOR DISMISSAL prosecution option of "Continue for Dismissal" (CDF) in the prosecution <br />PROSECUTION of offenses relative to traffic tickets and other petty misdemeanors.
