Fahey
COUNCIL,
Beverly Scalze
Jim LaValle
Matt Anderson
Rick Montour
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
Attached is a copy of a permanent drainage and utility easement for Precision Tree at 50 East South
Owasso Boulevard.
During construction of this building the contractor only installed a 6" waterline per the owner's
direction. The owner was not in agreement with the need to install a fire sprinkler system in the
building until after the water line was installed. Whenever a building requires a fire sprinkle system
we require that the domestic water supply line be nin separate from the fire sprinkler line. This
enables us to shutoff the domestic water without shutting off the sprinkler system, thus not
jeopardizing the safety of the building. As always, the domestic water shutoff valve is to be install at
the right -of -way /property line. However, if there are sufficient reasons /hardships, they can locate
the domestic water shutoff within the property if they provided a peuuanent easement from the right -
of -way /property line to the location of the shutoff valve, thus enabling City staff access to the
domestic water shut off valve. The attached easement provides us the access needed to the domestic
water shutoff valve for the Precision Tree building.
We are having the City Attorney review the form of this document. Subject to any comments he
may have, staff is recommending that City Council authorize acceptance of this easement.
Id: \GregS \Precision Tree Easentent.doc
